Choosing fan and light controls
A room may already have wiring for a single switched light, separate switched conductors, constant power or another configuration. The fan itself may use pull chains, a wall control, a remote receiver or separate controls for the fan and light. The cleanest option depends on both the fan model and the wiring that is already present.
Sometimes the existing wiring can support the control setup you want. Other projects need wiring changes to provide separate fan/light control or another arrangement. Stone evaluates the existing wiring before recommending the scope.
You do not need to remove the existing box or open wiring to answer those questions yourself. Stone can evaluate the location as part of the installation.
