What If a Breaker Will Not Reset?

A breaker that will not reset can point to a condition that needs attention. Repeatedly resetting it is not a diagnosis or a repair.

Note the circuit, the room, what was connected, and any signs such as heat, odor, smoke, or visible damage. Avoid opening the panel or electrical boxes to investigate.
