No Breaker Space vs. No Electrical Capacity

A panel can have few usable breaker positions without proving that the home has no available electrical capacity. It can also have physical positions while the planned loads still require a capacity evaluation. Breaker-space, equipment compatibility, circuit needs, and service load are separate parts of the project question.

A subpanel, circuit change, panel replacement, or service-related work may be considered depending on the equipment, loads, feeder/routing options, and the condition found. None is a universal answer.

Bring the planned equipment, current panel details, new circuits needed, and future project plans to the evaluation so the options can be explained in context.
